Google announced details about their OS, Chrome, just two weeks ago, and it sparked great debates on the Internet. The OS is not finished yet and according to Google it will take a while, but it appears that Dell have found a way to incorporate Google’s OS in their Mini 10v netbook.

Google obviously weren’t planning on something like this, but at least it’s an effective way for users to see what they should expect from the operating system in about a year, when it’s released. If you’re planning on trying it, keep in mind that it’s far from finished yet, so bugs are to be expected. Still, it should be enough to see what’s coming up in the world of computers.

To install the OS on your Mini 10v, you’ll need a 8 GB USB thumb drive. Download the ChromiumOS image, copy it to the thumb drive and just insert it into your Mini 10v. You won’t need to make any special adjustments, the OS should be installed without problems.

The Dell Mini 10v costs just $279, and it’s the perfect choice for trying out different operating systems.
